TWO men were charged with drug trafficking after 40 grams of suspected amphetamines was found in their car in Heidelberg West on February 14.

Police from the Olympic Taskforce found the drugs during a routine stop and search of the car, Constable Steve Sutton said. Police also raided three houses in the north-western suburbs that night, and seized items including an illegal firearm.

Both men – a 43-year-old from Preston and a 38-year-old from Greensborough – were remanded in custody to appear on trafficking charges.
