Witnesses sought on Briar Hill theft

POLICE are calling for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery at a Briar Hill newsagency.

Police are seeking a man aged in his late teens or early 20s. They said a man allegedly threatened the shop's owner with a weapon at 6.40am on February 6.

The owner refused to hand over cash, and the man left.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Heidelberg police on 9450 8000.
